- Make sure you’ve updated WhatsApp to the latest version, otherwise the HD feature won’t function.
- Tap on the Camera icon located in the bottom right corner of your screen.
- Choose a photo from your gallery, then tap the “HD” icon at the top of the screen. This will prompt an options overlay. Select “HD quality” and tap “Send” button.
- Similarly, to send a high-definition video using WhatsApp, select the video, tap the “HD” button at the top, and then choose “HD quality” from the pop-up. Finally, tap “Send” button.
- Photos and videos sent in high-definition quality will feature an ‘HD’ label at the bottom left corner as shown in the below screenshots.
