This Privacy Policy explains what information is collected when you use this TikTok video downloader (the “Service”), how it is used, and the choices available to you. By using the Service, you agree to the practices described here.

1. What we collect

Information you provide

The only input you provide is the TikTok video link you paste into the form. We do not require an account, registration, name, or email address to use the Service.

Information collected automatically

When a download completes, we briefly log a few technical details — including your IP address and the TikTok link you downloaded — purely to keep the Service running reliably: preventing abuse of the download endpoint and troubleshooting problems. This information is never sold or shared with advertisers, and is automatically deleted on a short rolling schedule (see Data retention below).

2. Cookies and analytics

We use Google Analytics (GA4) to understand how visitors use the Service (pages viewed, general location, device type). Google Analytics sets cookies in your browser and may collect data as described in Google's Privacy Policy. You can opt out of Google Analytics tracking using browser extensions such as Google's Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on, or by using your browser's cookie/tracking-protection settings.

A session cookie is also used for our internal admin dashboard login. It is only ever set for the site administrator and plays no role in tracking regular visitors.

3. How your TikTok link is processed

To resolve a video, the TikTok URL you submit is sent to a third-party video-resolving service so that a downloadable video/audio link can be retrieved. That request is subject to the third-party provider's own privacy practices, which we do not control. We do not send your IP address or any other personal information to that provider — only the TikTok URL itself.

Video and audio files are streamed directly from the source CDN to your browser through our server. We do not store, cache, or retain a copy of any downloaded video or audio file.

4. Data retention

Download log entries are automatically and permanently deleted after 30 days. We don't have a reason to keep them any longer than that, and we'd rather not hold on to information like IP addresses longer than necessary. If you'd like an entry removed sooner, contact us using the details below and we will make a reasonable effort to comply.

5. Data security

Download logs are stored on our server outside the public web root and are not accessible by visitors. Access to the admin dashboard that displays this data is password-protected and restricted to the site operator. As noted above, log entries are auto-deleted after 30 days rather than retained indefinitely, which limits how much data could ever be exposed by a security incident. No method of storage or transmission is 100% secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect the information we hold.

6. Children's privacy

The Service is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

7. Your rights

Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, or request deletion of information we hold about you (for example, under the Australian Privacy Act 1988, the EU/UK GDPR, or similar laws). To exercise these rights, contact us below.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes take effect when posted on this page, with the “Last updated” date revised accordingly.
