Resize PDF Pages Online Free

Need to resize a PDF to A4 or convert between paper sizes? This free tool lets you change every page of your PDF to A4, Letter, Legal, A3, or A5 with one click. Choose whether to scale the content proportionally to fit the new size, stretch it to fill exactly, or simply change the page dimensions without touching the content. All processing happens locally in your browser — no file is ever uploaded.

How to Resize a PDF

  1. Upload your PDF — drag it onto the upload zone or click to browse. The current page size is displayed automatically.
  2. Choose a target size — A4, Letter, Legal, A3 or A5.
  3. Choose orientation — Portrait (tall) or Landscape (wide).
  4. Choose content scaling — "Scale to Fit" for proportional resize, "Stretch" to fill exactly, or "No Scaling" to just change the page frame.
  5. Click Download — your resized PDF saves to your device instantly.

Features

5 Standard Sizes

Resize to A4, Letter, Legal, A3, or A5 — the most common paper sizes used worldwide for printing and sharing.

Portrait & Landscape

One toggle to switch between portrait (vertical) and landscape (horizontal) orientation for any target size.

3 Scaling Modes

"Scale to Fit" preserves aspect ratio. "Stretch" fills the exact page dimensions. "No Scaling" just changes the MediaBox without moving content.

All Pages at Once

The selected size and scaling mode is applied to every page in the document in a single operation.

No Quality Loss

Scaling uses pdf-lib vector operations. Text, fonts, and vector graphics scale cleanly without pixelation.

100% Private

Everything runs locally in your browser. Your file is never uploaded to any server.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the difference between the scaling modes?

"Scale to Fit" scales content proportionally so it fits within the new page — aspect ratio is preserved and a small border may appear. "Stretch to Fill" scales content to exactly fill the new dimensions, which may slightly distort the content. "No Scaling" only changes the page frame size — content stays at its original scale and position.

Will resizing affect PDF text quality?

Text and vector graphics scale cleanly because they are resolution-independent. Raster images embedded in the PDF will be scaled using the existing image data — upscaling a small image may reduce apparent quality.

Can I resize only specific pages?

The tool resizes all pages. To resize only certain pages, split your PDF first, resize the required pages, then merge them back.

My PDF pages have different sizes — will they all be resized?

Yes. The tool applies the target size and scaling to every page individually based on each page's current dimensions.
